The best veggie food on either side of the Hudson! Can't wait to work my way through the huge menu.

Still yummy! I thought the prices were fair and the food is still just as delicious as it always has been, Every time I eat here, I think I could become a vegetarian if I could cook food as good as here. Definitely try it if you want to try something new!

Overall Thoughts: The quintessential spot for vegan Asian fusion food-- from Chinese to Thai to Japanese to Vietnamese (with some Caribbean & Mexican too). The menu is massive, perfect for sharing with groups large and small, and the prices are good and reasonable. The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable. There's a free parking lot nearby too. All the dishes-- even the vegetables-- were less flavorful than traditional Asian restaurant food, but they still tasted good. Overall, you can't go wrong with Veggie Heaven if you're looking for a diverse variety of vegan Asian food. Food I tried: - Eggplant with Garlic Sauce (4/5): This dish is a lot less flavorful than those in traditional Chinese restaurants (likely due to the lack of MSG), but it was still pretty good, with a distinct Chinese flair. - Vegetable Peking Duck (4/5): The mock duck was quite good and well-made; the texture was nice and stringy and pretty meat-like. It's not exactly similar to traditional "mock duck" as the traditional one is made from wheat gluten, and this one is gluten-free. The dish also came with flour tortillas instead of traditional bao buns for wrapping, which still tasted good but was lighter and less filling. - Assorted Steamed Dim Sum (3.9/5): These were pretty good; I enjoyed the different skins of each one. The inside filling of the "shumai" was mostly seasoned rice, while the dumpling fillings were all of the same veggies. It would've been nice to have some more diverse fillings, or some mock meats as fillings. -- Price (relative to peers): 4.4/5 Food: 4/5 Ambience: 4.8/5 Service: 4.8/5 Overall Value: 4.3/5

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! It's slow tonight because it's Thanksgiving weekend, and many people are out of town. This is a vegan Chinese restaurant with sushi and some Indian, Thai, and Jamaican dishes. They also serve a veggie burger and falafel sandwich. Their bubble tea and fresh juices are to die for! The ownership changed in November 2022, but some of the old staff stayed. The ambiance is casual yet very cozy. They recently painted the walls, which gives the restaurant an airy feel.

I was told about this place by a good friend. She mentioned they use mushroom as a meat alternative. When we ordered I said I didn't want soy or gluten. It was suggested to try the bang bang chicken and beef and the sesame beef with mushroom. We also tried the California roll and the fireball roll. We were made aware that the fireball roll does have soy. It's not a medical issue for me so we tried it anyway. I was under the impression that the beef was made from mushroom..like when I tried it I asked if it had gluten and he said it's made with mushroom. It is but there's also gluten and other veggies mixed in. It was delicious but I did not want gluten. The bang bang was good but had more of a sweet and sour sauce. I preferred the sauce I had. Their vegetables were definitely fresh. The rolls were really good also. The seaweed in the rolls was a bit chewy but not a deal breaker. We did eat in. The place is fine. It's clean. Looks better inside than outside.

SO SHOCKED by this place! I didnt know this was a full vegan restaurant until recently but wow do they have great selections!! Soups for $2.50?! where do you find that anymore. SO affordable and delicious. Miso soup, wonton soup, tom yum soup- all delicious! Had to take a star off for the unfriendly nature of some of the staff but everyone has their bad days? Wish the ambiance and area was a bit modern felt old, but i would still return because the food was amazing

Food: 3.75/5 Service: 5/5 I love the purpose of Veggie Heaven and its intention to provide alternatives of meat-oriented dishes. The servers were friendly, and there was plenty of tables to sit at. My friend and I tried the shrimp tempura roll, falafels, and boba tea. Here were our thoughts: * Shrimp Tempura Roll (5/5) Given this is a vegetarian take on shrimp tempura, it was surprisingly good! I would definitely be open to getting this again if the menu wasn't so large and interesting. * Falafels (1/5) I'm no professional taster at falafels, but this just wasn't good. It was too mushy, and the sauce wasn't very good. My friend and I agreed we could skip on this next time. * Boba tea (2.5/5) It was an average boba tea. I was thirsty and craving something like this, so it worked. However, there are other boba shops in the area that are definitely better I would like to come back again some time and try different things! It's a unique find as there aren't many restaurants that do vegetarian East Asian food.

I've been here a few times and really enjoy the food here. I was skeptical about this place at first since I'm not a veggie lover but I gotta tell you that the meatless "meat" is great! I always get the Soul Chicken but decided to try the Chicken with Broccoli today. My boyfriend had the Coconut Chicken. Both entrees were tasty! Service is always good though today it was a bit slow. The place was packed and rightfully so since it's a Friday night. We were lucky enough to wait around 5 minutes to be seated. I like the fact that I can have a conversation there with my boyfriend and not have to strain to hear every word. There's no loud music, just people chatting quietly and enjoying their meal. Looking forward to my next meal there.

Veggie Heaven has been my go-to spot for a while! I used to visit the location in Montclair frequently, but most recently I've loved stopping by the Teaneck location for dinner. I have never had a negative experience here. Everyone is always so welcoming, the atmosphere is just relaxing, and the food is amazing! I'm not a vegetarian nor vegan, but this is definitely my favorite Chinese food spot! I always start off with the assorted dim sum, my absolute favorite! Then, I usually get the "pork" fried rice *chefs kiss*, & sometimes the general tso "chicken". They have never met me down! I would say give this spot a try! Their menu is so extensive with many delicious dishes to try!
